Talisman of Sirius

Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa von Nettesheim (September 15, 1486 – February 18, 1535) was a German magician, occult writer, theologian, astrologer, and alchemist. After Agrippa's death, rumors circulated about him summoning demons. In the most famous of these, Agrippa, upon his deathbed, released a black dog which had been his familiar. This black dog resurfaced in various legends about Faustus, and in Goethe's version became the "schwarze Pudel" Mephistopheles. The Black Dog could also be related to the Egyptian Dog God Annubis. Agrippas most important work was 'Three Books Concerning Occult Philosophy' which was printed in Cologne 1533. The three of these three books featured his Sirian Talsiman as pictured left.

Hieroglyph for Sirius

Egyptian Hieroglyph

In Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic writing, the star Sirius came to be depicted as a red triangle with a small semi-circle above it and a five-pointed star to its right.

This glyph is often found on many of the monuments and temple walls throughout Egupt - places in which Sirius was venerated or worshipped as the Goddess Isis.

It is worth noting that Sirius is also represented by the hieroglyph of a tooth.

The Sirian Seal

The Sirian Seal

The Sirian Seal was first received by Patricia Cori from the Sirian Council in 2003 whilst in a dream state as a three- dimensional holographic spinning tetrahedron. The Speakers of the Sirian High Council describe the Seal as a universal metronome of cosmometry and form. Its design sets the frequency of a vibratory astral shield when our energies are fibrillating in the wake of our earthly discord, holding against any energies that are of the lower vibrations. So does it serve as a conduit to the consciousness of higher beings, who are guiding us through the waves, and as a direct link to our Higher Selves.

Drawing the Bow at Sirius

Bow and Arrow

Several cultures also associated the star Sirius with a bow and arrows. A similar association is depicted at the Temple of Hathor in Dendera, where the goddess Satet has drawn her arrow at Hathor (Sirius). Known as 'Tir,' the star was portrayed as the arrow itself in later Persian culture.

Throughout mythological writings there are numerous references to arrows in connection with Sirius.

In Hamlet's Mill. de Santillana and von Dechend point out that in many mythologies of the world, Sirius is often the target at which an arrow is aimed. We can therefore interpret Robin Hood's last arrow as representing the departure of his soul, looed off towards the brightest of stars: Erendil's tow Sirius.

The Babylonian name for Sirius was KAK. SI. Dl., which means 'arrow', and the Sumerians, Babylonians, Egyptians, and Chinese all had a constellation built from stars of Argo and Canis Major, which resembled a bow and arrow, in which Sirius was variously either the tip of the arrow or the target.
